During the course of his art studies at Dawson College and then at Concordia (Painting and Drawing), Pinnell worked with the team at Bodkin Tattoo, where he perfected his classic tattooing skills. Since 2014, tattooing has been his main occupation. Tattooing is Malcolm Pinnell’s medium of choice, because, to his mind, it symbolizes a form of commitment. Pinnell used to draw aliens on his friends’ skateboards when he was growing up, but, when he was 18, he got his first tattoo, fell head-over-heels in love with the art form and never looked back!
